Nyxotic's Debut EP Eclipse Arrives July 24: Six Singles Unite in One Soundscape Journey

After months of introducing listeners to a series of captivating singles, Canadian composer, producer and pianist, Bob D'Eith is bringing the vision of his new project Nyxotic to life with the release of its debut EP, Eclipse, on July 24.

The six-track collection brings together Timeless, Putumayo, Eclipse, Enlightenment, Anticipation, and Velocity into a cohesive musical experience that showcases the evolution of one of Canada's most accomplished electronic music creators.

Best known as the co-founder, producer and keyboardist of the internationally acclaimed group Mythos, Bob D'Eith has spent more than three decades blending electronic production with acoustic instruments and world music influences. With Nyxotic, he takes that signature sound in a fresh direction, while embracing cinematic electronic styles, expressive piano and contemporary production to create immersive instrumental landscapes.

While each single stands on its own, the EP reveals a much larger story. Together, the songs explore themes of ancient civilizations, spiritual awakening, movement, transformation and the natural world; inviting listeners on a journey that is both reflective and emotionally engaging.

Two tracks feature the soulful vocals of Aaron Ross (The Boom Booms), while the title track Eclipse closes the EP with a stunning vocal performance by acclaimed Canadian jazz vocalist Jennifer Scott.

For D'Eith, Nyxotic represents a long-awaited return to personal creativity.

"If I'm not creating, I'm not living," he explains. "For many years I had to create music in the cracks between everything else. Now I've finally had the opportunity to revisit musical ideas I'd been carrying with me and develop them into songs that feel complete."

Unlike his collaborative work with Mythos, Nyxotic has also challenged him to develop his own creative voice while drawing on the talents of trusted collaborators, including his son and producer Cameron D'Eith, Aaron Ross and Jennifer Scott.

The result is music that comfortably crosses genres; from ambient, chill and world fusion to cinematic electronic and melodic house, making the EP equally suited for focused work, travel, relaxation or simply getting lost in the music.

While Eclipse marks the completion of Nyxotic's first chapter, it is far from the end of the journey. Bob is already planning to return to the studio later this year to begin work on a second EP, continuing to explore music that is both accessible and richly layered.

D’Eith reflects on his creative process:

“I'm really enjoying getting back into the studio and creating new works. Finding that balance in life is so important. Performing and creating music has always been a critical part of my entire existence. I think we all need things that make us excited to get up in the morning.”

With Eclipse, Nyxotic establishes itself as an exciting new creative outlet for D’Eith whose music has resonated with audiences around the world for decades. Whether you've been following each single release or are discovering Nyxotic for the first time, the debut EP offers the perfect opportunity to experience the project as it was always intended, one complete musical journey.

Nyxotic's debut EP Eclipse will be available worldwide on July 24 through Adagio Music Inc. on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and all major streaming platforms.
